MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT PLANS  We are Medicare Brokers and represent many Medicare Supplement carriers and plans, unlike "captive agents" who only represent one. Medicare  Supplements should not be confused with Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans. Medicare Supplements are offered by major insurance companies that pay the 20% of a medical bill that you would otherwise be charged for. Medicare supplements have letter names, like " Plan G" or " Plan N", and cost a premium every month. they do not include Rx coverage or any extras like Dental or vision, but they do pay bills very well, so that you won't even see a bill when you go to the doctor or hospital having a Medicare Supplement.

if you want Rx coverage you must buy a separate prescription drug plan (Part D)

When you turn 65 you have a window of 6 months to purchase a Medicare supplement policy WITHOUT UNDERWRITING. They cannot refuse to insure you for any health reason if you purchase during this window. After this time, if you apply, you may be subject to health questionaire and/or health exam to determine if they will insure you, and they may decline to cover you.

The premiums will generally increase as you age.

in MISSOURI we have a rule called the MISSOURI ANNIVERSARY.  The month a Medicare Supplement takes effect is your Missouri Anniversary, and each year you are allowed to shop other carriers to see if you can get a better price, as long as the new policy takes effect the month of your Missouri Anniversary.
